Coming from the Baltic where the classic yacht scene in the early 80´s was still unnoticed, the Mediterranean scene was a shock. Actually a positive one! The old yachting style with enormous yachts, marvellous craftmanship and large crews was back. A world that even experts had said to be dead forever. ”LA Nioulargue” was already the annual absolute highlight of this renaissance, featuring spectacular yachts from the drawing boards of Fife, Nicholson, Alden, Stephens, Herreshoff and many others.
