The worldwide fame of the Abeking & Rasmussen yard stems from the tradition of design and construction quality established by its founder, Henry Rasmussen. When a family decided to embark on a circumnavigation aboard a new high performance cruiser it provided a wonderful opportunity to study modern developments in yacht building in a unique historical setting.
This superyacht-project also brought the camera to places around the world to meet the team formed by yacht-consultant Jens Cornelsen: the naval architect Bill Tripp in Connecticut, the interior designer Andrew Winch in London, sailmaking of North in the US and Denmark, as well as carbon-mastbuilding by Marten Spars in New Zealand. This is also the place where we see ALITHIA finally racing during the MIllennium Cup. |
